Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Walkers tolerated ad

That ad speaks to what Nike is all about. The exclusive passes, the no other brands allowed, the egotistical ads. People are not buying the bullsh-t anymore. There’s simply a lot out there and nobody needs to be talked down to.

How about “if you are a protected VP you are an embarrassment.” Time catches up to the liars and the cheaters. Kinda like P Diddy.

Holy sh-t! This was a store front in Boston ahead of the race. Of runners!! It’s tongue in cheek and purely directed at all those you pushed it to get there. To run. It had nothing to do with anyone else….Snowflakes is right.

If online ettiquite is anything to go by, Nike should just have an ad that says, "I tripped on the way to the bathroom"

Ironically, Nike is one of the biggest supporters of the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Somebody was asleep at the wheel with this one that’s for sure.

@ds then why did they take down the poster from the retail store?

that ad comes off odd, not really motivating, more gloat like we're the best, usually that type of bravado is not well received, in general

Nike says, “If you have a body, you’re an athlete.” — No more

Hey at least we’re trending, could be worse, we roll out another marketing slogan no one even notices or laughs, or even cares.

I guess it’s a direction that the rest of America is going, outrage trending.

There is also the Jeff Galloway run-walk method where you run for about 5 min then walk for 30 seconds to a minute.

This is not edge. This is not personality. This is embarrassing. The internal guts are starting to show on the outside. Who on earth looked at this and thought “yeah this is it”. Wt actual f. Will EH scold the public like he did all of us for speaking up in AH?!

When you’re trying to win back the running consumer maybe don’t shame a large portion of them

Nike used to run incredible ad campaigns like There Is No Finish Line and Find Your Greatness. It included everybody. Now this Winning Isn’t For Everybody and Walkers Tolerated campaigns are perfect examples of Nike trying to look like winners when in reality we’re losing the race.

Hard for Nike to talk down on anyone at this point.

I like it. This is a marketing edge that Nike had lost. Nice to see some personality back.

Like do they not know going for dedicated walks everyday can be considered exercise as well?

As a walker runner, I suppose I’m not welcome. As an individual who lost a friend in the marathon bo**ing and Nike alumn, I’m disgusted.
