Thread regarding USAA layoffs

I’m confused - bonus

I’m so confused. None of my bosses / leaders have said anything about no bonuses. I haven’t received any emails about no bonuses. But on here there’s so many posts of people speaking with such authority about no more bonuses.

Is this still just a rumor? Or has something been shared?

@da depending on what slice of digital experiences you're looking at (enterprise/P&C/Bank, etc.) digital MSAT has been pretty consistent, even between the old/new app versions. More execs have died trying to move the needle on that than I can even remember

We won't know our multipliers or final numbers until we have our performance discussions with our managers, unfortunately.

It's unclear to me if we're still doing USAA, CoSA, and individual multiplier, or if it's straight individual.

I think we're still doing the normal Target USAA CoSA * Individual based on Juan's messaging that "nothing is changing," at least for this year, but that's to be determined.

Juan's "narrative" approach leaves a lot to be desired. There's a lot of reading between the lines required. That said, his messaging yesterday was clear: USAA did a fantastic job in 2025 with the exception of digital MSAT (I believe that's the metric he called out). For that reason, I'm guessing a USAA multiplier of at least ~1.17-1.2. In other words, if your bonus target is 15%, you'd get ~17.5%-18% as a base before CoSA and individual scores.

Just a guess, no more, no less.

Halfway into the bank employee meeting and its just jibberish over and over again…

Can they just give me a bonus multiplier?

Sigh….

They bonus is dwindling and in a few years it wouldn't surprise me if impossible metrics were put in place to even 'qualify' for the bonus, if it is if not flat out eliminated. They would not just take it away, bonus is the only reason some people stay and they know it. Whats the analogy about cooking a frog?

Juan said today in the TH that the APIP / incentive is going to be calculated the same way, maybe not exactly true because the old way used the LOB number. Maybe that part is gone, but it's confirmed by his statement, there's APIP aka bonus.

It will be a company wide scorecard like we had several years ago before they split/divided PnC and Bank etc.

Tomorrow in your bigger townhall the scorecards should be discussed so you know overall what Life, PnC, Bank etc got as a whole. Then 1:1s to know your individual number. Just like last year - they can’t jack with bonus fixing to be paid out but they are moving back to one company- one team - one scorecard.

I think people are confusing no scorecard with no bonus. We can have no scorecard and still get a bonus. The bonus and merit is all based off of a budget anyways.
