Anyone else extremely anxious and demotivated in the last few days? Managers are not communicating anything about this next round.
WoC meeting next week in Austria too
Rumours says that they will be preliminaries announcements next week for France
@bv Following UK > Ireland pattern of last year - Its likely in May start/Mid if 28th April date remains valid for UK.
Anything about Greece and Africa?
any info about when Czech Republic and Poland??
Romania?
@cz would like to see your comment on this threat next Tuesday ..:
I’ve seen it happen in the UK before, was actually part of a RIF. @cj is mostly correct, but the consultation period does technically happen. There’s usually little to no support in finding another role. You’re on gardening leave while they run down the consultation period but it’s already decided you’re going. And it’s true you used to get an enhanced package if you signed the NDA.
@d4 They did? How that would work then?
Can it be that negotiations have already happened for the previous wave and conditions will be extended to the next wave? In Spain, they did something like this
@cj We already mentioned this over and over again, that is not how it works in the UK nor in Ireland. You’re just trolling us….
@ch all orgs
@cj BS, it can't work that way
UK & Ireland -
No consultation needed. They will use a settlement agreement and pay an enhanced redundancy package to avoid this.
Gets it done quickly and avoids a long drawn out redundancy process, requirement to help to find another job etc.
People will be informed and then given an agreement to sign, including NDA, waiver of rights (to claim discrimination etc.) and in return will be offered more than statutory / contractual minimums to go quietly…
Common approach to get round redundancy laws.
@cb which org? Is the list known?
@by manager here , I know UK is next week , so not just guessing…
Nobody knows when the layoffs will happen, it’s just guessing here.
What about Ireland?
Anything about Spain? Appreciate some info, thanks!
When Czech and Poland, any info?
@OP UK next week
