@db honestly I could think of a good 1/2 dozen that should be shown the door just for being myopic and incapable of truly guiding large organizations.
@d3 I used to work it JET org years. Talked with coworker who was still there until today and said the same thing : "everyone you know in VB, JET, ADF were let go today".
This coming Sunday, LE turns 81; executive management wanted to give him an early birthday present by cutting costs (means layoffs) since he owns 40% of the company.
In addition, Oracle is no different than Microsoft, Meta of the world who had recently replaced positions with AI , and must make big savings ( billions) to invest in AI; AI is definitely a huge change in the tech industry
@cs I work in Sales for NS - Yes the FSM/Openair look like they were hit harder than other units on the surface but they were not entirely cut. There are plenty of IC's I have worked under those umbrellas still around.
@bq I know of atleast 1 VP in OCI who got impacted
Customer success at NS got hit as well.
Is OCI California location affected?
Before my laptop got locked, I could tell most of VB and JET was decimated by looking at the deleted slack accounts. This is across the board, VPs, managers, architects, all level of dev. They are canning the products. Good luck maintaining the apps!

NetSuite acquired NextTechnik (NetSuite FSM) and rebranded OpenAir to SuiteProjects Pro within the last two years and just cut the entire Services org supporting these two products. No indication the decision makers that were in charge were affected, just the whole organization that supported these products. The leadership remains on their pedestal

@az I am/was with NetSuite and I was just let go. So no, NetSuite is impacted.

Any VPs or EVPs impacted?
MySQL recently got moved under OCI organization and we were hit as well. Entire teams seems to be let go (SRE, QA), other teams affected as well. Mostly India and US it seems.
I work in NetSuite org, no rumors of anything here so far. (We've been pretty lucky the last few years though, so I guess it'll be our turn soon enough.)
If you are in.dian in NA your job is safe, because you belong to the protected cast.
