Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Any BA reports / rumours?

I keep seeing post about RIF's / layoffs / etc, but wondering if those have more to do with local field maintenance technicians and not Building Automation staff.

I haven't heard of anyone in the few hundred people I deal with on a monthly basis getting let go. I'm not based out of any major hub.

BA layoffs started today in rank and file. And no, we don’t get the 401k match. Last day end of Nov.

In my final years of Honeywell all I saw was 'performers' some critical being let go whilst retaining people that should not even have been hired. I thought this might have been just a odd time in the company history but it became standard practice. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen in my 30 year career, willful self destruction.

@bg Non-Performers should go. Absolutely when year over year they historically show they are consistently not hitting numbers. This is a no brainer. In my tenure here - it has been a hit and miss.

Reality is the company can only absorb a limited amount of change. The separation project is consuming all resources that will eventually work staff right sizing.

At every company you have performers and non-performers. Honeywell is no different.

We need to get better at eliminating non-performers throughout the year instead of creating fear and anxiety across the entire workforce.

Confidence in your job comes from how you perform. Confidence also decreases when you see non-performers surviving.

As they prepared for the spinoff. I believe there will be some RIF’s and layoffs. I’m not saying through the whole entire aerospace or automation.

Usually, they like doing this before the holidays. So if you may get through these holidays, feel lucky. After the spinoff, you expected through the whole entire aerospace and automation.

By the way! This is just my opinion and I have no factual information to back it up. However, in order to increase shareholder value. Definitely re-organization cost cutting measures. This is the Elliot management way.
