Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Central Supervision/Controls (St. Louis/WFA)

Hi, all, St. Louis WFA office still has a large Supervision and Controls presence. Anyone have any intel, insight, or forecasts on the future of this group in St. Louis?

@a9 Where are you getting your info? WF tends to say no changes and then the next week or month they’re doing exactly what they said they wouldn’t. All you have to do is see the pattern in STL and see what their goal is.

@a9

Most WFA/WIM positions are being filled outside of STL. It will be a slow bleed until WFA is built up enough elsewhere to pull the plug on STL.

But that is long term. Who knows who will be the CEO by then and the vision.

Who knows if Wells Fargo will even exist. The next bubble pop may bring it down.

My group in STL is done at some point in 2027 from what I hear. St Louis is a goner alll together eventually.

No major changes in the near future, 3-5 years. Who knows about the long term. This wouldn't be just a CSU change, but a full on WIM change.

As much as they want, they can't shift everyone out of STL with wealth/brokerage experience. It would cost them too much time and money.
