@nz
You sound exactly like one of the execs who are expecting staff to be grateful for simply having a job and not questioning every rubbish decision made by them.
Why don’t you leave this bulletin board if thats the limIt of your contribution?

This is not a new issue.
During the high inflation years of 1990's UK, Each year's graduate intake were always offered more than existing employees.
To be fair, management freely admitted they wanted grads to leave within 5 years. The new intake always worked stupidly hard with no family pressure or illnesses. Everyone competed for the weekly "yellow jersey" - who worked the most hours unpaid.

it was always a temporary blip that employees were well treated

@nz I really don't think speaking truth to power is unprofessional. The company wants to be a success. You achieve that by having a happy collaborative workforce. You don't achieve that by bringing in endless new people on premium salaries and ignoring the staff who used to do the work. But now don't really care. A little extra would go a long way. 0% leads to 0% effort, 0% care, and ultimately 0% profit.

They bring it on themselves. I ain't getting another job thank you - I really can't stand any more corporate bullsh-t and arseholes like you in my life.

@n5 where have you been, they always bring in new people at more pay. Money isnt worth as much as it used to be so they have too! You have a choice stay or leave, if you stay then be glad you have a job, if you leave be glad you left.

It's all on you to make yoursel;f happy with an employer. Now stop being a little unprofessional baby and get to work

@kz The point is he can't. They bring in people half my age on double the pay. Hello! I'd have done the job for an extra 3% a year.

Did anyone hear Anidaw Gs Town hall the other day, if not listen to the QA on the replay. The guy was off his head and he didnt think he was doing any wrong, he doesnt want to pay anyone, wants everyone to retrain, and reckons he can run everything using trainees.

Good luck G man, with people like you as a leader the company destined for failure.

He can go and find these people who will work for the love of his job, or in his slave empire.

@jj I'm not talking leaders. Senior execs get silly money. I'm talking people at the coal face. The people whose job should be to either deliver an ongoing stable service, or deploy finished, tested and working code to production environments. When you hear the new guy earns more - you ain't helping him when you get nothing in return, other than complaints you've not done your own job!

FYI as someone who has had to hire the gap is A LOT more than 30% and the signing bonuses we have to give to appease the Accenture overlords are more than the bonus we can give our team. At least for the L4-L5 But as has been said previously, you still have a job and what you do with your time is your choice. But don't fool yourself thinking people are making only 30% more. I'm not going into the retention bonuses. Just what it's taking to bring in new "leaders"

I’m not particularly concerned about my own salary, but I do have a serious issue with the fairness of the pay structure. We’re bringing in new colleagues on salaries around 30% higher, yet they’re not coming in as specialists — many struggle with the basics. This imbalance is creating a significant problem: the organisation is grinding to a halt.

Collaboration has all but broken down. The usual dynamic — where experienced staff support trainees and new starters because they are developing and significantly earn less — has disappeared. The incentives to help do not exist.

As a result, work that should take a couple of days anywhere else now drags on for two months, requiring multiple interventions, escalations, and rounds of management oversight before it’s finally completed.

I understand there’s always a penalty for inertia, but a 30% disparity is unreasonable. It’s creating avoidable tension and is a key factor in why DXC is facing such serious delivery challenges.

@e5+1ka1srk1k i cant believe you keep posting, you left DXC and got a better job forget dxc, look forward.

We are being shaafted, all living prices have gone up, basics like milk is now $5. We haven't had raises in years this cannot go on.

The Execs are taking inflated salaries, the Drum on $5million, what for, a couple of town halls and the odd leader change email? Surely AI can do that. His installed extra layers of leadership who are just going in a circle implementing pods which was done in 2015 in CSC. They dont want to focus on growth.

As the op says they are bullying employees on leave, less pay, and other, whilst taking from them.

Enough is enough, not doing anymore, for nothing.

I feel fantastic, I get the holiday off with pay which is better than some years where I had to take time off with no pay !

No pay increases, that’s on me as I know DXC doesn’t give pay increases but I stay 5, 10 , 15+ years anyway

If you want something different then do something different, find another employer, at least you have a job and not laid off!

I feel great. I retired from DXC in 1974. Got a multi billion severance. Life has never been. better. I've joined the trolls on this forum to tell everyone how much better my life has been since I've left. Because i'm 'retired'. I feel obliged to show how much better I am than most of you. DXC lives in my head rent free so that's why I come back to this site.

Guys, this is best case scenario. They don't have the knowledge or ability to fire or a pipeline to hire. Can't afford to bring in contractors. Just take very long lunches, go to the gym spend time with family and interview for a better job. Absolutely no sweat as long as you "log your time"

@a8 Retired 8 years, and still posting here! DXC living rent free in your head! I am proud of working at DXC on a BAe site in the north West, and doing absolutely nothing, and still getting paid. Amen, and hallelujah.

As for war...bring it on, and SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Eight years since I retired, and how depressing it is that people still feel the need to post to this site about how bad an employee DXC is. Moreover, it's the same issues being reported, coupled to the frustration that you know upper management really don't care about you.

It looks like the stock markets have finally worked this out too, since prices have tanked again recently. I remember the halcyon days when it was greater than $80.

OP, you have my sympathy!
