This wasn’t a mass layoff like the one in January, but a few one offs occurred today. My manager and our 2 leads had their roles eliminated today, we were told the news at 4:30pm. Only thing the AVP said was their roles had been eliminated after a thorough review of everyday duties. As if we weren’t already short handed, now the rest of us will be drowning.

@f3 when half my team was laid off on January 28th, the very next day I sent a slack to the ED asking for his help, he replied with “that work is in the job description for your job title, you’ll just need to re-prioritize on all your deliverables and fit in the other work from those impacted.”
Some help he turned out to be.

@a2 I’m OP, my team is bank non-member contact area. Went from a team of 7 down to 4, and told this morning that it’s going to be a rough transition but “I’m here to support y’all in anyway, just reach out.” This lady, she can’t count to 10 if you spotted her 1-9.

@OP Bank, P&C or Life? There has been a continuation of bank employee reductions from Feb. 2026 to May 2026. Almost to 10% down year to date.
