The constant manipulation by management just wears you down until you don't even recognize yourself anymore. Trust me, it's not worth it.

@OP Maybe nothing is worth this stress, but having been to the brink of personal financial oblivion in the past, after a corporation made layoffs to save it's share prices, I can firmly say that even a completely horrible job (like mine at OT, too) is better than selling off your life to pay the rent.
@ae you fell for the troll trap he or she is trying to get negative replies and trying to get as many negative votes as possible. Best thing to do is ignore it, us working here know the truth.

@a6 HR can you stop spreading rumors. Like and id--t you keep saying we are hiring when all positions are frozen and list for layoffs is already made
