When someone submits a resume today, they have the abysmally low 0.4% chance of actually getting the job, per Business Insider.
Thanks to Trump for letting h1b visa workers to compete against the American workers.

It ain’t Trump honey:
@x7 until then it'll be like Tesla's robotic technology which actually just human-powered "robotics".
When AI finally becomes real, the jobs that have been offshored will be replaced by AI. India will be hit hard.
American corporations selling out Americans by offshoring their jobs and doing multi billion dollar buybacks.
0.4% sounds too high/good. If that was the number, you’d need to submit 250 applications to jobs you are qualified for to find a job.
If only it were that easy.
@tz - The United States is a Constitutional Republic, but the lobbyist are the true vote in some situations. H1Bs, for example, in this terrible job market are anathema to the AMERICAN dream, not the INDIAN swindle.
@qg America is an oligarchy now. Democracy died a while ago. Nothing much to do with capitalism other than the 1% own the government.
George W. bush exploded the number of H1B visas and the companies exploring them never looked back. Every president since said they would do something about it and never did. The corporations are bribing...er, giving campaign contributions, to both side since Citizens United said corporations are people now.
Oh well. You all voted for capitalism. This is what you get.
Just run over to Bank of America. They will hire you. Wells hires everyone that runs from BOA to Wells. Is there a revolving door connecting the two buildings?
We should start a class action against WF malpractice in employment https://www.classaction.org/search?q=Wells%20Fargo
Found an existing one but it is for a specific location at Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Not sure if the location matters for a class action.

@b6 OPT can only work for 1 year post graduation. They can apply for a second year in STEM areas so doubtful this is any threat.
I’ve seen more jobs lost to offshoring and now automation than H1b. Those offshored jobs never come back.
@c5 and you accuse others of having TDS.
@ab so you admit that H1B issues were going on long before Trump
I love to make up facts and figures with zero references too.
@ab TDS Stage 5. Seek professional help.
Chances of your English skills is even bleaker.
Something even worse than H1B is OPT - which have no cap and no oversight and they are about 10 times the number of H1B.
Insult on injury is that govt even give companies tax incentive to hire OPT.
OPT are new graduates of foreign students.
Yup, Bus Insider said 1.1 million laid off in 2025.
I'm old enough to remember Trump lying about ending the H1-B scam. The guy hates Americans.
@OP youre right. My advice is to not get laid off.
The H1B scam was happening long before Trump came along.
TDS sufferer. Find a new market. Banks aren't needed my fiend. Find a job using your hands. Bank jobs are limited and moving to Asia. You just realized this?
