Shocker. No big change. Just same people new titles. Good job, again.

Only have to look at ABU SCM's terrible job. They farewelled a couple of bench warmer do nothing managers with big fat $$$ send offs. This just encourages everyone else to do the same. In addition some of those who feel very lucky to have survived I.e. should have gone, are now surrounding themselves in their new worlds with their usual favourites thus hard wiring self interest at the expense of innovation. Is every boss in the ABU blind???
No surprise. The way to make "change" is to bring in new people and new ideas, to make people uncomfortable with the status quo. Chevron is averse to this, preferring to re-baptize career bureaucrats with new titles. The natural outcome to this is that nothing will change, other than yet another new collection of buzzwords. The Chevron decline will continue. (Post-script: the rare times Chevron brings in outside people and ideas, it's typically retreads and failures from other companies. RM comes to mind, and the IBM CEO.)
How did you even take in these selection announcements. What a mess to look through.
@OP The more things change, the more they stay the same.
But everything is going to be different this time according to the people in charge.
