A Collective Redundancy Scenario will take place.
No specific organization was named.
113 roles in Ireland will be affected:
14 in Finance

@5f9 1-1 notifications went ahead last week as expected. Different teams were notified different days. Short conversations to inform one continues to be at risk of redundancy, then document emailed.

Next is 1-1 with HR and notifying manager to explain severance package and answer questions.

@3ad
Germany 200-250 employees affected. All GIU's except OCI. High pressure from Oracle US to finalize the layoff in Germany asap, until end of this year approx. Happy New Year... The townhall was not explaining anything, just spreading uncertainty with zero empathy.

@3ec , when you say Customer facing colleagues would you say which Teams / org have been hit so far in EMEA ?

I know some ISRs in Ireland and a couple of SE in AT only so far …

Sad to see, that Oracle fires hundreds and thousands of customer facing colleagues to be able to serve a just handful of hyped AI companies like OpenAI, Meta and Google or TikTok. Current customers will realize very quickly by the lack of personal contact, that their long lasting business and trust into Oracle is traded for pleasing the stock market and focussing on a bubble, that will collapse somewhen.

It's not only colleagues but also customers that will loose big here.

Anyone posting layoff info - please include the org & country too - at a minimum tech (OCI) or apps (fusion/GIU) - where available. Will help contextualise

That's so brutal. Any updates on UK layoffs?

@fe Absolutely brutal, and if that's true, is that about 70% of the entire office? It seems like the quota was disproportionally put to that location.

If I stayed on the team after this and had the opportunity, I would seriously consider finding a new position very soon. There is no way that they are finished with just this.

Yeah, as expected - like the sports results: who lost, who won, what the numbers are...

I expect the UK to be next, sweeping from left to right: Ireland, UK, Spain, France, Poland, etc.
