Does anybody know for sure who gave the employees the SL4 or Stock levels in general? Was it the manager?, manager's manager?, a suggestion by the HR rep in the calibration session?
ERP takers opinion - Intel vs mobile ease of use
I retired last round and bought a new laptop with the latest CPU after my old Dell died. The new hardware is fantastic but the Microsoft OS s---s compared to iOS. As long as Microsoft is joined at the hip with x86 they are doomed. My iPADs/Android... — read more
Does Kaby Lake launch indicate a turnaround in Execution?
Intel had so many product push outs and cancellations in the recent years. Kaby Lake seems to have been executed well from nowhere being on a roadmap to a product launch. Are the design teams sorted now?
Average program/project manager salary Oregon?
I've been searching for average salaries in oregon for project/program managers per grade level online, but wanted to hear from people actually working at Intel. What sort of compensation should someone at a grade 6, 7, 8 and above expect? Obviously... — read more
I made the mistake of believing anything that my managers or HR told me.
My entire Intel career - from being recruited away from a good job to Intel to start a team to being ISP'd for getting an SL4 for being "new to Intel" was < 2 years. I made the mistake of believing anything that my managers or HR told me. "The same... — read more
Intel moving operations from Germany to India next year
There is a big effort recruiting talent in India to take over 2-4G development and maintenance starting next year. Intel will phase out of Europe from wireless.

Murthy is pedalling a narrative not a strategy
From today's forum one thing is clear either Murthy doesn't have a clue or he doesn't trust us with the truth. He was like a skillful boxer evading every blow. In 1 solid hour I didn't hear a single straight answer. Anyone want some snake oil?

Kaby arrives and it means bad news to those that know! Not what circuit will say I assure you!
You'd think the arrival of a new CPU is good news but it is actually very bad news. First why a third design on 14nm when Intel technologists always say nothing offers more value than scaling offered by the next generation in PPAC? 10nm should have... — read more
Is Aicha the next Intel CEO?
Was she offered the CEO post when she resigned? She certainly will make more headlines than Diane Bryant. Like Ursula Burns.
Intel's Acquisition of Micron
Thoughts? Would it make sense for Intel to acquire Micron, like ASAP. This acquisition would give Intel a full exposure to the prospects of 3D XPoint memory and Micron is doing really well in this area. The earnings are volatile at Micron and if... — read more
Intel stock holding well. I hope there are more layoffs
So we hit $50/share I don't care about hoe it happens. As long as it does
ACT layoffs show how lazy managers and executives are.
Easier to implement the HR SSL4 formula than to actually evaluate each business group and site. Stock will go up so execs can sell like crazy in Intel's last cash wave. They killed morale on purpose.
When will Altera ship 14nm product?
I'm going with 'never' even though the public has been led to believe 2017. When was 14nm launched? LOL!
Layoffs is the proof that executives are just milking the last of the x86 monopoly.
Most execs will be gone in 2 to 4 years when Intel collapses. Layoffs were the only way to increase their short term packages and run away.
good deal or nah? lol

Why more layoffs are all but certain unless Intel makes another more realistic strategic change!

Will Apple throttle Qualcomm's modem so to not embarrass Intel?
Qualcomm offers two variants of its slim modem (read standalone without application processor). The x7 is a 300Mbps aging data shifter whilst the x12 is a 600Mbps monster. Intel's xmm7360 sits right in the middle. So what will Apple do? Throttle... — read more

Aicha says icdg need to achieve $5.6bn revenue in next few years to be sustainable.
Think Intel needs to cut the gangreneous division off. It has no chance at achieving this. And this is under the assumption of Intel 60% GM.
