Area to reduce head counts

https://www.theverge.com/2023/3/13/23638823/microsoft-ethics-society-team-responsible-ai-layoffs Pat mentioned ethical AIs multiple times on his twitter feed. Intel truly needs a person who knows his/her stuffs. On one of the IntelOn events, he... — read more

I'm trying to avoid making the same mistake twice

Have you ever accepted a job offer and realized later that it was nothing like what you expected? (Yes, I'm talking about Intel.) I found it frustrating and disappointing to be in a work environment that didn't align with my expectations. So, how... — read more

CPM late April

SMG planned another round of layoffs. Any more updates?

Why no mass exits

Seems like everyone including ELT are quite content with their pay after the cuts. What a bunch of lifers

Meta is laying off another 10K workers

https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/14/meta-layoffs-10000-more-workers-to-be-cut-in-restructuring.html Here is another tech company that is having problems but they are doing something about it. Add this to the 11K let go last November and it ends up being... — read more

Serious Question

With all of the complaining on this board… why do people stick around? If it’s that bad, you can always walk out the door and find another job. Complaining here won’t do anything to change the situation. You can only control what you do. — read more

Something I don't like about Intel

CEO talks about religion very often. CEO does jobs for the government (Chips Act) HR head manages DCAI. The graphic head does movie as a side job. Maybe you can add more.

Q1 outlook

What should we expect in Q1 all hands? More cuts, pay reductions , voluntary time offs ?

Salary raise

Are we going to have any raise or RSU this year?

Job security

Is there job security for folks at the lower levels of TMG, arguably the lifeline of the company? I’m referring to the hard working techs, current OMs, SGLs, and supporting staff. There is no accountability for prior years of management (prior OMs... — read more

Extended Voluntary Leave happening Q2 2023

Recieved email today about E-L Q2 2023. I did not receive the offer last year. If eligible will get follow up email Monday. My fingers are crossed. I need a break.

When is the severance paid?

My last day at INTC will be April 30th. I received a CPM + I am retiring on the 75 years rule. When will I receive the severance payment?

Intel is sadly irrelevant

Intel is stuck making x86 CPUs when the next set of workloads need accelerators. Even the x86 CPUs it makes, it is doing a lousy job and losing MSS to AMD. Failed business model being peddled by arrogant CEO. Sadly, a split is now inevitable.

Tower acquisition Allowing WFH Selling off buildings Cutting pay and then reinstating immediately Every ELT hire he has made is useless. For gods sake please BoD fire Pat ASAP!

Lowest level of TMG

I am overwhelmed at the gross lack of knowledge, lack of education, and poor quality of hire. Tech or OM or “engineer”…. Does any one truly understand how badly we are failing?

What now ?

Q1's already over. CPM's already locked. Stock already trading near book value with new downgrades

Put us all on the same floor like sardines

Great idea! I love getting Covid even more /sarcasm. Most people were a little cautious, but OK with coming in 2 or 3 days a week to a half empty office. We'll see what this does for productivity. Here's a suggestion: Send all these CS personnel with... — read more
