Quality

Why is the site quality team at Honeywell so bad? They seem to be the only group that gets away with doing absolutely nothing, but audits. Is that their entire job? If so, sign me up!

Processor Level 2

I'm interested in this position at the Urbana plant. The job description has standard verbiage that I've seen on many other openings there. Would someone, who is familiar with the responsibilities, give me a brief synopsis of what the duties may... — read more

Treading water no news

Feels like Honeywell is in that long quiet before storm. Nothing happening. No layoffs no big contracts no site as-----ns. I bet all those newly promoted execs are in the six month “blame your predecessor” phase. We are probably a year or... — read more

Trust in leadership

I'm trying to remember when I lost confidence in our leadership. In fact, I wonder if I ever trusted them at all. That mistrust is tiring. It is tiring to constantly think about what they will do next in order to squeeze out employees and satisfy... — read more

Maybe I didn’t negotiate well

I need a vacation, but obviously there is never the "right time" to request it. I have been trying to choose the best time to take my vacation for a very long time. In the meantime, I’m getting more and more exhausted, more and more nervous, and... — read more

Managing an understaffed team

This is what managing an understaffed team looks like here: Convincing employees that we are not understaffed Convincing employees that they are not productive enough because they are not trying hard enough Taking a stand as if we should... — read more

Has anybody here survive PIP?

How did you manage to do it? Did it involve working extra hours? The one guy I know claims he worked 70- to 80-hour weeks for months and I don't think that's humane. We have days off for a reason. Any other tricks? Other than kissing up to your... — read more

When has Honeywell stopped being innovative?

Despite all the problems that we had during the years and despite many sh---y decisions that have been made by the leadership, the only positive side of Hon’s business was that the company was innovative. I don’t see much of that lately. Now it looks... — read more

COBRA sign up

For those who have signed up for Honeywell COBRA insurance, I’m curious about how the sign up process works.

Kindof excited about prospects of a recession/layoff

Sitting at my desk working those extra revcog hours on a sunday, a holiday for some but not me. I was forced to trade my office for a generic desk before the pandemic. Be a team player they said. Open office plan. Two drawers. Two tiny monitors. ... — read more

Compensation gaps between executive and employee pay

The pay gap is huge. Rich are greedier than ever. It would be interesting to see how over the years the compensation gap between executive and employee pay became bigger and bigger... That would be an interesting slide share.

Will we ever have a flatter and more functional organization?

As all the records and layoffs happen the regular employees from the boron of the organizational pyramid always get cut, while multiple layers of useless management get to stay. Will they ever figure out that this is the road to disaster?

Org changes again in ISC

There are rumours that there will be some major org changes in ISC again and this time its their engineering team thats gonna get impacted. Any truth in this?

Headed into recession

If we enter a recession, I'm afraid of what that would mean for HW. Total crash?

If you have options, why are you still here?

I understand people like me who are stuck for whatever reason not leaving Honeywell, but what about those who have options but decide to stay? Honeywell has not lost all of its best talent yet and why that's the case is a mystery to me. What's... — read more

SPEEA Invite

Did anyone else receive an invite to SPEEAs information session this weekend? Guess they will be at the Hilton on 47th st.

I expect to be compensated properly for my work

I don't think that's too much to ask. I don't have many complaints about my job, but this has become a huge issue for me. Since I've started looking at what's available, I was able to confirm just how underpaid I am at Honeywell. I mentioned this to... — read more

The future of Honeywell

Why does it seem to me that we are concerned more about the future of Honeywell than our leadership? Does anyone think that those at the top have a vision and a concrete long-term plan for the company?

Is HW trying to stop talent loss at all?

My impression is that HW is no longer doing anything to stop talent loss. As long as efforts of the employees are not adequately compensated, the talents will be leaving. Morale is very bad. It's surprising that even more people are not leaving the... — read more

Hybrid WFH ending soon

Honeywell execs thrilled with Tesla's stance on return to office. Expect the 40+ in office mandate to be rolled out via soft communication channels soon. No big emails from K. Matters-More (than you) to avoid public critique. One-One with... — read more
