Bad PR and Layoffs During Pandemic

This company would not risk the unbelievably bad PR they would receive by mass laying off people during an international pandemic. Maybe a few people here and there but 99% of us are probably safe until this COVID19 thing is over. But then the head... — read more

How Low Can It Go?

Thanks to the 'leadership' of Dave and Jeffery, along with worshiping the 'gods' of diversity and multi-culturalism, the entire legacy and reputation that Mr. Halliburton's hard work and REAL innovation established has been squandered. At the... — read more

"Work from home" The layoff gauge.

Forget about your Check-ins, the biggest factor for the next round of layoffs are the times logged to work from home. I knew this perk sounded too good to be true. One of the Directors was overheard today saying "how long do they really think we... — read more

More cases in Northbelt spreading.

Management, Please think of everyone else's families, don't coverup the spread that started in the Technology Building, some of us have elderly people at home for GOD'S SAKE! Tell the truth! That "Pneumonia" case isn't it and you know it. More... — read more

Good to know what's really important to them

How many of us will pay with our jobs just because Halliburton wants to continue paying a dividend when that should really be one of the first things to be either significantly reduced or cut completely at least for a while. If Occidental can cut... — read more

Sperry Software countdown to lay offs

Boys, its too late to get out of that lousy group. You are stuck in a group with probably the worst managers in Halliburton. As a bonus, you get no focal point this year, no bonuses, nothing. You should have read posts in this forum earlier. — read more

How big will the cuts be?

So how big will the cuts be? No way we can go forward without them. Im thinking if we have 30,000 people now we will be down to between 20,000-25,000 so a good 30% headcount reduction.

Get realistic, get ready!

There will be lay offs. In 2009 Oil was booming but the stock went down to $12. There were lay offs every month. Now we got both oil , the economy, the Chinese virus. There is no way that Halliburton can keep going. Q1 report is coming up on... — read more

Endgame

Saudi Arabia and Russia are in a play to burn the American shale revolution. The whole thing is coordinated. Look a bit deeper, American exports are running free unencumbered, yet the markets expect Russia and SA (Opec +) to cut production... — read more

Working from Home Because of Coronavirus

Has anyone heard if North Belt will allow working from home? Lots of people on campus, seems crazy to be having us all crammed into the lunch rooms and elevators when 95% of our work can be done from home.

Sperry Mfg

Sperry Mfg in Northbelt has a new center manager.

Sperry Software

Worst group in the worst (money-losing) PSL at HAL with the worst managers and the worst products company-wide

April 20 Q1 Conference Call after layoffs

Halliburton will have to do lay offs before April 20 so that they can tell their investors they met expectations. The company is is loosing money right now. stock is down to $15.

Trivia Time!

What costs more, a large 2 topping pizza or a HAL share???

Mergers

Mergers are the biggest growth fraud of them all. Take two sand piles and sweep them together. You can make the claim that you've doubled the amount of sand in one pile, but the amount of sand hasn't changed at all. There's been no real growth. — read more

The moral in the sperry software group is way down. Other developers like me are talking about possibly leaving the company. The job is fine. It's the managers that are causing the problem. Yesterday over lunch we were joking that we are all going... — read more
