It will be next month. This month as the companies cut their capital spending, Halliburton management is deciding where to cut first. So keep your hats on and just wait it out. Management is deciding who, what, and where needs to be cut after the customers cut their spending first.
It will happen on the last few days of the month, that way they don’t have to provide you insurance into the next month. Only for the month you are layed off in.
I’m with the competition and we are in the same boat here. We need to pray for all of us oilfield brothers and sisters and the world and hope that they come up with a cure for this virus and get our economy and people back to a normal life. There is a hope and a prayer for all of us. Take care

The only question you should ask is what’s your salary related to your coworkers? If you are at the high end of the scale, then see ya. Knowledge and tenure has little to do with it.
I have seen them keep just plain stupid people I mean no common sense at all couldn't manage a McDonald's and get rid of the folks that have more knowledge about there own PSL's than there own manager's. It really is a joke how these people operate it just amazes me.

Layoffs are convenient before that case of coronavirus spreads throughout the whole campus. They might layoff earlier than needed. I am ready, hope nobody else gets that stuff that lady that got it got pretty sick.
