Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Serious Question

I was supposed to start work at NB on Monday, should I just show up? will there be anyone there to give me a badge?

Stop being so damn negative people, it is no wonder why half of you are not with the company anymore. Just because your career did not work out at Halliburton does not give you the right to sh– on someone else’s parade; probably a young buck looking to get some experience.

Contact HR via email. I was hired 4yrs ago when everyone was being layed off. It was sad, I would meet someone one day and in a day or two later I would hear they were walked out. 4yrs later I got layed off. Bottomline this industry is a dying ddinosaur. They will keep you.

Start looking for another job. There will be lay offs after 60 days. They want people to quit on their own. They save money on severance.

Really?

If 3500 people’s work load was just decreased by 50% - I’d definitely get new work outfit creased up for day one Monday.

And don’t forget to pack a lunch - the caterers are not at NorthBelt the next 60 days.

Email your hr contact to ask.

Start looking elsewhere though.
