Where do I even go from here?

I’m trying to leave GA… but I’m not sure where to apply to/go next? Who’s hiring right now? Serious responses only please.

GA benefits are not on Par

I got an offer to work at GA and it was significantly below market. I advised why the offer was so low and. It on par and GA response was … “we never layoff and we factor that into the offer”. Then I came on here and see that layoffs did occur …. I... — read more

GA loses Australia contract

GA is in serious decline

Talent is leaving, they arent hiring qualified replacements, the most toxic people stay and get promoted. Now, they are losing money on contracts and not taking action to course correct, except more layoffs. There are a lot of cliche poor business... — read more

Never stop applying

It's my own fault. For a while, I was constantly looking for a new job because it was clear to me that my job here was more than unstable. Then the situation improved a bit so I relaxed and stopped sending out applications. And now, again, rumors... — read more

Linden said no layoffs

If there is an ASI lay-off, then Linden to all of us. But it’s all speculation as of right now so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Layoffs

I have been in the Aerospace industry for 33 years. I've been working at General atomics a little over 5 years now. Truth be told General atomics has been living off the predator for a long long time it is ran its course. Bad management decisions has... — read more

It used to be great to work here

Unfortunately, that time has passed. Now this is a completely different company and everyone's job here is very uncertain. This is hard to accept given that most of us felt very comfortable here. I guess that's one of the reasons why most people... — read more

I wish I was laid off

I'm tired of having to constantly worry about layoffs or which benefit I'm going to lose next. I'm so tired of it that I've landed on the opposite side: now I'm hoping to be laid off so I can pick up severance (I've been here for a decade, it should... — read more

Cuts are not a big surprise

Most knew long ago that it is impossible to expect anything good and that layoffs are inevitable sooner or later. So I hope the cuts didn’t catch anyone unprepared. Glad I jumped the ship when I did.

Upcoming Layoffs at ASI

Linden lied about it at the town hall yesterday, just like he did in 2020. A big part of that reason is because GA is losing to the contracts to everyone -- big and small!! Time to dust off that resume

What kind of severance was offered?

Does anybody mind sharing what kind of severance they were offered as part of their layoff? I'm mostly wondering if some changes were made due to the pandemic or if it's still the usual. Also, were you offered extended medical coverage (an additional... — read more

No Upcoming Layoffs at ASI

Linden confirmed it at the town hall yesterday. A big part of that reason is because so many people have voluntarily left already. There is no need for a lay-off.

Layoffs a Warning. Leave now!!

GA Management does not care about you. Those that survived the layoff, your managers will guilt trip you to Alaska. Upgrade that resume and find something better!

Has it started?

Any news on layoffs yet? Today's supposed to be the day...

I wish they would lay me off

It is hard to believe that the company would decide to make additional cuts, given the attrition. A huge number of people leave here every day so more cuts in addition to that doesn't make any sense. Then who will stay here to do the work? .. — read more

Someone leaves every day...

The workforce at GA is shrinking rapidly. A positive that may come out of this is no layoffs are needed. Upper management is going to have to catch this falling kn--e at some point.

Work is slow

It's happened before that work slowed down a bit, but this time it's different. I personally feel better when deadlines loom and work is flying at me. Not a good sign, is it?

New hire gone before 2 months

Wow! Just hired a new person and they leave before 60 days has passed! Couldn’t deal with company culture or work environment. People leaving sooner and sooner!

EMS Layoff

Anyone have intel on how many people will get the boot? Also, why is there even a layoff when the attrition rate is already so high at GA?

Easy to leave GA!!

Job market so hot right now, I get paid MORE than the Director!! :) :) $200,000 !!

Hard to leave GA

I’ve been interviewing elsewhere but it’s hard to land a job. People don’t think my experience is adequate or that I’m lazy since I have GA on my resume. Pretty depressing to be honest.

It's easy to make cuts, but what next?

People are increasingly talking about cuts at EMS now. I have no info on how big the layoffs will be. It's easy to cut people or overwhelm them so much that they go looking for a new job on their own. However, what will GA do after the cuts? Cuts... — read more
