Hiring Freeze Still In Effect?

Anyone within the company heard from leadership if a hiring freeze is still in effect? I’m curious if people are actively getting hired, especially after some of the negative publicity CVS has been getting lately.

take control of you

truth is if you get eliminated, you were on a list long ago ( probably put there by someone who doesn't even know your name or the hard work you do- with a company this large you ARE just a number ). so there's not much you can do to change... — read more

no word or signs of layoffs

usually sign is they reduce the work, remove folks from meetings etc. no signs at all and business as usual for all remote people. why is there speculation and doubt?

Act your wage

That's the best way you're going to sc--w them over.

Would you really like to keep a job here?

I understand many of us are scared of losing a job with the current job mkt, financial obligations and cost of living. But I’ve been so unhappy with working here for a long time now, that I’m secretly hoping I will be let go at the first next... — read more

Bribing RTO employees with food

There were food trucks at the Hartford office today. Another poly to make it seem like RTO is fun, and cool! Thanks, but no thanks.

August layoffs

Biggest layoff seen coming in August. Many jobs shipped out of the US. Any news on this?

Happy first anniversary to me

Today marks a full year since I joined CVS. I can tell you right now that this has been the absolute worst year of my career and I used to work at Walgreens. I honestly didn't think things could be worse anywhere else but I was so, so wrong. I'm... — read more

So we are in the silent layoffs mode?

I’ve been hearing about people being let go one by one or in small groups, without any announcement or big talk. They are trying to minimize the upset and the erosion of morale by quietly laying off peeps? If that’s the reasoning, they are too late... — read more

Slow, silent purge

I know 5 people who I used to work with (in corporate) who have been silently let go in the last three months. Usually they are given several weeks notice. And no one ever talks about it (or at least I don’t hear about it). Has anyone else... — read more

SDET & QE at CVS

Shift left quality was used as a pretext to fire all quality engineers working under Digital Engineering during last year layoff. Will the current eruption of the Crowdstrike issue teach our management anything?

Just a reminder

There is quite literally nothing that statistically proves RTO benefits employees or company performance in any way. Employees have been producing more and more while being remote. But a bunch of boomers in leadership who saw the idea in a Facebook... — read more

Ofc there will be layoffs

And Q2 results will ofc not impact the decision to make layoffs. If a company is doing bad, mgmt will do layoffs to secure more money for themselves and shareholders. If a company is doing good, mgmt will do layoffs to secure even more money for... — read more
