Thread regarding CVS layoffs

How about no town halls anymore?

It’s pointless and actually sad. Is it possible that any corporate leadership still believes that the cheap show works? These town halls are for whom exactly? I would have much more respect for upper mgmt if they were straight talkers, particularly in owning their mistakes or laying out the future plans. This way I feel nothing but disdain.

@OP+1tVIBEvg The town halls are for me. I laugh at them as if it was a comedy show and the execs were clowns dressing up and doing their best "I am a real manager" impression. I really enjoyed the future retirees disrupting the nightmarish facade and asking if we were going to be laid off.

Sean Guertin came from Coventry and brought with him integrity and demonstrated what a good CFO looks like. A shame CVS crapped on that.

I remember the clowns from sig and oak in their retro costumes right before the layoffs last year. This was the famous go-go boots show at which KL beclowned herself. Can you imagine the looks on their faces when they found out KL was d-mb enough to rescue them?

But if there were no more Town Halls, we wouldn't get to see Miss Narcissist prance around the stage tossing free trinkets, like scarves, to her captive audience who asks hiney-kissing scripted questions Yes, I am a bit bitter and sick and tired of all of it. Thank goodness I am remote and don't have to watch.

Karen doesn't ever own any of her mistakes...she's the exact opposite of genuine. How come they never mention how oak and sig are performing financially?? News flash...they're money pits.

You’d be surprised... The directors on my team get excited for the town halls. And it’s not some faux excitement; it is legit heartfelt anticipation for the newspeak extravaganza. Don’t ever underestimate the stupidity of the populace. Have you ever seen how Americans get excited over politicians? Those same people are your coworkers and leaders at CVS.

Sean Guertin’s finance town halls weren’t dog and pony shows at all. He was real, he was relatable, he gave credit to others and he admitted mistakes the company made and HOW it was going to change/act.

New CFO Tom Cowhey has zero personality and comes off as he is just waiting for God call his number. But he still magically gives the same BS Karen gives but with less enthusiasm.
