Citing high growth initiatives and AI is the reason for upcoming mass layoffs, it is evident that cisco lost to jnpr in AI space, particularly to Mist.

Who was brainiac in sales leadership that hired a ton of extra sales folks 4 months ago? Nobody even knows what they are supposed to be doing. Now a big layoff - what a way to run a business.

Too many managers and directors layers in Cisco. There are no reasons to have so many layers of un-productive people managers while pressure is on to cut resources who are responsible for products, services or support.

People telling you they know the number are full of BS. We know it’s between 10k and 20k from credible news reports. Beyond that it is pure speculation. Avoid the noise!
