Something needs to be done

About this used car salesman CEO and his incompetent cronies. Our company is being ran to the ground! We need an activist.

Good idea to go back to Cisco?

I left company. Anyone would go back if offered a grade 13 position? Cisco has very good qualities. Sad reality is that I am not sure company will exist in 10 years from now.

LR this week

Just got my 1:1 invite for a 9am meeting. Was expecting this as my director already gave me a hint a month ago (we are buddies).

Cisco Security

Does anyone know how Gee Rittenhouse still has a job? Cisco has yet to deliver any innovative security to the market since he has taken over. I question whether he knows what he’s doing. Cisco Security is getting their teeth kicked in the field and... — read more

Woke CEO

Cisco is fortunate to have a woke CEO to navigate the current economic environment. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/03/cisco-ceo-chuck-robbins-on-leadership-amid-the-pandemic.html

CABU k--led

What’s left of cable access to be axed this quarter. Customers have zero confidence in Cisco and interest in cnbr is near zero. Have to say this isn’t a surprise. Our competitors are doing so much better. I’m floating my resume out there wish... — read more

I interviewed for a position at Cisco after I as laid off from Lenovo. Because an LR had just occurred at Cisco, I could only be a contractor after 6 weeks of interviews, being offered the job, only to have it rescinded to be a contractor instead... — read more

Thinking about Cisco

I am planning a change companies in the next 6 months. Cisco is interesting. But please explain what "LR" means? What's the pay scale for a "Senior" engineer vs a "Staff Engineer"?

Groundhog Day

Next big layoff scheduled for 2/2/21, Groundhog Day. I find that humorous, albeit sad. One thing about Cisco is they are predictable. Annual Layoffs.

Lacking in clarity

Why do SVP and above feel they need to write War and Peace emails on re-orgs, full of cyclical nonsense and fluffy words that in the end say nothing about what the changes really mean? Good gracious, the emails from MM and SW were eye-pokingly dumb... — read more

I feel sorry for Acacia employees

I know there aren't that many of them, but boy are they in for a rude awakening. I don't know what their company was like before this, but I looked around on the usual suspects (Glassdoor, LinkedIn...) and it seems decent enough. Can you imagine the... — read more

I see nothing has changed

It's been two years since I left and it looks like Cisco is still attempting to cut its way to profitability instead of actually trying to fix everything that's been broken for years now. And apparently after years of trying to do the same thing the... — read more
