What is bechtel status during this pandemic? Are there several layoffs taking place?

Bechtel closing San Francisco headquarters. Moving headquarters to Reston Virginia. Uncertain how many will be laid off. Bechtel only gives two weeks notice and no severance. Houston jobs are also moving.

Anyone know why? Started happening almost immediately after Hurricane Harvey.

Bechtel PCAPP site didnt even offer severance pay to their laid off employees in March 2017. They don care about their employees on profit site is all messed up nothing works there.

If oil prices remain low I can bet they will up that number to 2000 or even more. Layoffs are inevitable and the pipeline does not look good.

I am optimistic the company will bounce back with a vengeance. We are bidding on plenty of work, Mozambique was not the only prospect in the pipeline.

Disappointing for all, my training Bechtel paid for will be used to benefit another company. I sincerely hope this company can find a way to be more limber in a changing economy.

I believe the big layoff is project based, hopefully only OGC is affected. The folks might get sent to other GBU's until they get a big job.

These are definitely not rumors, unfortunately this is reality. The Houston office is definitely downsizing after a big loss, not sure to what extent. Does anyone else have more info?
