Bechtel has been releasing an average of 10-15 employees a day. Their objective is to release 60% in the next couple of years. No offer was made publicly about early retirement to senior people (20+ years) However, if they were offered or were given notice of layoff, they would only get 30 days advance notice. No severance would be offered.

Is this only for Oil and Gas division?
I worked for Bechtel for the better part of two decades and I never heard of them ever offering a severance package.
I believe the post is only referring to the Houston office. That would reduce the size to about 1000 people
