Ideal Market Denver

So are Cherry Creek and Union Station still paying for this store to stay open? Such a waste.

STSS Laughing

I asked our STSS if she is sad for being laid off. She said she would sign today if she could then she laughed and walked away. That was very rude of her and I had a tech question. lol. Just kidding, I don't blame her one bit. Take that money and... — read more

Morale is at an all time low

This company nowadays only motivates me to look for new opportunities out there every day… They used to pay more attention to employee motivation and morale in general. But now, it's like they don't even care about it in the slightest?

Finally getting out

I've officially put in my notice. All these changes and upcoming changes do not look at all promising. I wish everyone the best and encourage you all to start looking for a new job NOW. It's only going to get worse from here. That place isn't for... — read more

How many?

How many total are being let go? Why is Culture Champion being pushed on me when I work at the regional office?

Marketing Cuts

The marketing team members in the field were let go for at least the fourth time in the last seven years. Although everyone was supposed to be "global" in the last change, this was never really the case. Those teams were kept at arm's length tasked... — read more

Regional Offices

So how many are really getting laid off. My ASTL told me not to email anyone at regional as they are probably gone already.

Buyers Remorse?

Let's be real! Amazon regrets buying Whole Foods! In reality Whole Foods is a small player in the grocery world and still does not compete with Kroger and Walmart!

Workday is revealling

Ever look at the organizational trees in workday and click on the higher-ups to see their past experience. Almost no one in positions of power at WFM had any sort of education or business experience whatsoever. Sure some have worked in multiple wfm... — read more

STSS given five months!

They are giving five months till they are gone. They have to make sure their stores are ready to hand over to a vendor who is not hired up. They will have more tasks in the next few months than the last two years.

I doubt this will be a good change

My first thought when I read the internal memo indicating that the company aims to simplify operations and restructure some of its corporate teams was that unfortunately this is just one more in a series of changes for the worse. Your thoughts?

It was 9…. Now its 6

It’s about time they get rid of some fat from top. Wats next? Store team leaders? Team combination? We all knew this was coming so all ELs need to reapply. Hopefully the useless ones don’t continue.

No Team Member Discount for upcoming Body Care Sale!

Just heard from a coworker that the Body Care sale we all wait for so we can buy our creams, soaps etc will no longer be eligible for our Team Member Discount. I think the sale starts next cycle. Way to go Whole Foods on Team Happiness. Cut our hours... — read more

Nobody wants to work

I'm tired of having to do several jobs every single day. If you're not going to show up for work, then quit! Or if you are going to show up and spend the entire day hiding somewhere while playing on your phone, you need to be fired! I'm getting paid... — read more

Full automation

I totally agree with those who think that there is a long way to full automation in this company. Why do some think it will happen so soon?

San Fran Store Closing

Says store is closing due to the neighborhood being dangerous and high theft. Store opened a year ago https://sfstandard.com/business/downtown-san-francisco-whole-foods-market-closing/

Welcome to KMart !

After saracha is finished driving away customers and employees we will be down for count and going out , just like KMart . Too big to fail doesn’t apply here .

Leave now if you don't want to be laid off

Or even worse, fired. Our parent company is looking for any and all ways to cut costs. We are among the easiest ones to get rid of without too many costs attached to it. Something tells me it's just a matter of time before 90 percent of us are... — read more

Any truth to this?

It's to operate lean with as little people as possible. Most cuts will be at leads level so less managers and supervisors to manage across various groups. Trim out the lazy managers and leads. Goal is to remove dead weight who comes in whenever it... — read more

Why I like March Madness...

The only sports I will watch. WFM should take notes: It's about competition. It's about performing and working together. It's about putting the best team together to win. With no excuse. What you don't see is. Backstabbing. Manipulation. Poor... — read more

Project Siracha

Does this mean there will be pay cuts or job cuts ? Anyone know ?

Useless meetings

So we have meetings and people from regional all they do is read power point presentations already made by global. So whats the point of all these regional sfas or whatever they are calle now. You know, we TMs can read. What a waste of meetings... — read more

Should we worry about store closings?

With all the layoffs going around, is there any chance that some stores will be put on the chopping block? I usually wouldn't worry since my location is doing well if not great, but all the things that have been happening in the last few months have... — read more

Tech roles

Are WFM tech roles safe during these massive tech layoffs happening right now? Both global and in store roles?

Is the grass much greener with competitors?

I don't know if our managers purposely try to make us feel miserable, but that's how it seems to me sometimes. Instead of trying to get the best out of people, my manager is an expert at how to demotivate and drive away people who then go to... — read more

E-Comm Staffing

My STL just told me our store will no longer have e-comm leadership. They aren’t laying us off but they want to take my title and money away.

Unnecessary TMs

Get rid of the useless positions in store and in global.

Amazon layoffs

I know this might be a stupid question but I'd rather ask and know than not ask and possibly stress over something for no good reason. Are we going to be included in the announced Amazon layoffs? With 18,000 people slated to be let go, what are the... — read more
