Buyers Remorse?

Let's be real! Amazon regrets buying Whole Foods! In reality Whole Foods is a small player in the grocery world and still does not compete with Kroger and Walmart!

They bought Whole Foods to push for more Prime Members and to have a food company to add fresh to their line. You can't keep they same people running the company for years and then expect a different result. At the end, before WFM was bought, all the higher ups got lazy and just kept adding more people under them to make their jobs easier. Where do that money come from? The stores of course. Cut that store labor to pay for more VP, EVP, ACs, field associates. Then those people would come up with "great new ideas" fpr the stores, that were always labor intensive, and cut labor.

Amazon has two of its none WFM branded locations in Massachusetts that have been sitting vacant for a long time. Both have seemingly been done with construction for months with no announcement of stores opening.

Absolutely, Florida leadership is awful, even worse with Juan gone! But, they're protected, so good luck.

Now if they get rid of leadership and their precious favorites(Florida especially) that would be great start.

You can thank Michael Manning for internal job cuts in favor of 3rd party outsourcing. Team member happiness 101. I believe we’ve “edited” the CORE values around 8 times so far now. You know, because that’s what CORE values are…

They'll rebrand all WFM's. If anything WFM has awesome locations and good leases. Amazon knows what they are doing.

100%. They are cutting head count overhead in an attempt to make the company look more profitable so they can onload it. It's what WFM did prior to the Amazon purchase, when the first 'restructuring' took place. It's only a matter of time. The WFM brand limits what they can do in the grocery world, and their Fresh stores are a bust. They'll sell this outdated company, buy a conventional chain and rebrand it in their name. my .02
