I heard a rumor. Is it true that JR in RMC area gave remote employees an ultimatum to choose either to relocate to a hub or lose their jobs by July 31st? I heard they have until July 31st to choose what they're doing and if they decline to relocate they will lose their job mid September. She's rolling it out across her organization this year. And that she has like 1000+ remote employees out of 4000 employees. Is that true?

@cf I have no severance details. I’m not in the impacted groups so my details are limited to what others have shared.
Okay, but is severance being offered? That's the elephant in the room. You all know good and well a large portion of remote employees will not comply with the RTO mandate. Have any of you been given guidance on severance packages??
It is very very much real. Only issue in play is if you are deemed critical talent.
100% factual. I am in GB&L and was told to move to a compliance hub or be laid off by September 18th after 20+ years!
Love how GK just said on her All Company Townhall remote is being Grandfathered in yet JR says to expect layoffs for remote workers in her last All Staff call.
Agree, leader here in RM&C, I’ve heard this is coming.
Not that I see in Risk, just compliance stragglers
General Banking and Lending already received notice. Now LG has her eyes set on eliminating anyone under her that doesn’t sit in Minnesota, Ohio, Carolina or Arizona. 1000% facts, if you now sit in the wrong hub LG is coming for your job as well.
I heard this was communicated in part of RM&C earlier this week on Monday during an All Staff. It was specific to managers who are remote and not in a Hub. I was not given details on the timing or nature which it was communicated.
@bb isn't true for all areas under her. I have remote employees and they haven't been given this ultimatum, not yet anyway. I'm confident it's coming.
@c7 Is severance being offered?
Yes, it’s happened in certain areas of Corporate Compliance. Remote people have until end of September to move to a hub unless they have a valid medical exemption.
This isn’t a rumor it’s true. She announced it in her meeting about a week or so ago.
Elcio did drop a hint on a previous call that “ you might want to relocate to a hub”. Would not put it past the company to give the ultimatum. People are not resigning fast enough, they need to shed U.S. based headcount.
RM&C people leader here. Not yet, at least not in my area. I'd put good money on it coming by EOY though.
