Are we all not going to address that 3p is taking a lot of the work. Who is even supporting them and watching what they do? How is USAA okay with so many 3p overseas and in Mexico taking care of military families.

@ee Not sure but i heard these 3 P Orgs will eat 50% of dollars paid by American Companies and give Popcorn Price to employees as Bonus. Some body can endorse !!
@ev oh really most of the pnc are with hcl. But they do charge more 22-24$ per hour for junior dev 29-32$ per hour for senior dev equivalent….. for guidewire developer it maybe in higher range 40-50$ per hour. But it is cheap

Fun fact, a 3P in Mexico stole a membership mortgage down payment. He wired to his hombre in Miami and disappeared. Member lost $50k. HCL for the win!

Before yall call me full of sh-t I saw the actual contracts. Everything is going to HCL in India, practically all back office. It's why the fraud levels have gone astronomical because there is no data security.
Cheaper labor = cheaper products = happier members.
“We” think that USAA using offshore 3P makes sense. Especially given most companies did this 20 years ago.
USAA needs to start acting like a fortune 100 company it claims to be, and not some mom and pop org run out of some office in SATX.
They go through assessments and they are tracked by teams in the company.. The reason Reddit is blocked now on the corporate and guest network is because they had access and their metrics were going down. They’re cheaper labor so of course they’re desired.
If Indians or Mexicans can do a better job than full time USAA employees, I don’t see any reason why USAA doesn’t want to keep them.
