WF had several major waves in July of recent years (considering the 60-day notice leading up to the 9/30 bonus eligibility date). Any inside scoop on the upcoming 7/7 and 7/21 layoffs? Anything different this year or it's just business as usual?

@sh will you check if your compensation moved to a different AU? In workday it will be under compensation history as data change.
There's one way, make bold proclamations in complete ignorance and passing them off as obvious facts. The layoffs in July and Oct of 2025 happened, and were widely discussed here. Get over it.
I'm in Tech. My manager is very upfront and told me at the end of April that early July would be around the time of my displacement.
@r7+1kwh6bxdq must be one of the PROFESSIONAL TROLLS and EXECUTIVE FLUNKIES who was afraid he was getting too close to the truth...But it's not a conspiracy! /s
@nf Hard to get more embarrassing than obsessively tracking numbers for years that don't represent what you think they do, and then having a chip on your shoulder about hallucinating patterns that aren't there. But it's not a conspiracy lol 😉
The data literally comes from Teamworks, so it's no conspiracy theory unless the company is starting it. You not being aware of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Follow the data, you'll be embarrassed less often.
lots of conspiracy theories about dates. I have enough visibility to this to tell you there is no magic about bonus eligibility or 401k match going into determining the 'when'.
Also, re comment on people who know signing NDA s - that's not happening - because any/all info re displacements is considered "confidential" information and there are already very well defined requirements for how confidential info is handled and penalty for violating confidentiality. simply put - it's not worth me risking my job to tell you some confidential info. if you have no business need to know.
And if you say "well how would they know you told someone" - the person you told will give you up in a hot minute.
It's definitely that and not that you're smugly asserting another conspiracy to flatter yourself
Love the down votes. Must be from professional trolls or executive flunkies. You always get flak while over the target.
There was a big wave on late July of 2025 also, not much more than 60 days prior to 9/30.
Uh, yeah, about that. The largest single day wave since Sharts arrival was Tuesday, 10/28/25. How many days prior to 12/31 is that? Yep.
Wells will F&&%ing jam you on October 1stwith a layoff - double benefit for them - they can sc--w you out of your 401k match (need to be an FTE mid Dec), plus you're off the FTE payroll / headcount by 12/31 - That's just the way they roll - Good Luck!
I notice that a lot of posts are asking " if anyone knows anything." Unless they are at the top of the chain, no one knows anything and those who do are very closed lip. It wouldn't surprise me if they had the ones in the " know" sign NDAs due to past issues where people were told in secret and of course no one can keep secrets, became problematic. These layoffs are planned well in advance. Obviously there are many things that could be factored in, but that's just more information that they are not going to share. Do if you do get let go before a bonus payout or 402k match, it will be assumed that was a factor, even though it wasn't in other departments. At this point it doesn't matter. You will lose your job. It could be this Tuesday or 2 yrs from now. But you will be gone because you are an expenditure that is being swapped out for either overseas sweatshops or AI.
Literally NEVER been any large scale layoff coinciding with ANY date of significance. Not 60 days before 401k match, not 60 days before bonus, not 60 days before any EOQ or to beat any financial reports.
That doesn’t mean layoffs won’t happen, they always do. But nothing that is statistically impressive.
Can confirm that bonus eligibility date IS a factor this year. It may have been to some extent in years past, but it is this time around.
Tech is going to be the biggest impacts from what I've heard
Q3 ahead of the end of quarter and cutoff for bonus is going to be huge layoffs. A LOT more to come, especially in IT&V and Compliance. They are actively stack ranking to determine people and spend hours doing this.
In another thread I posted that I heard from a reliable source late July would be another Tech downsize "wave." It is sad there aren't more employees who do know and won't post anonymously what they know. Crazy conspiracy theories abound that even using your private, secure wireless connection with an anonymous post, the company could find out what you posted. Don't use corporate WIFI to post here (duh).
@OP it will happen this month. I am in tech and I was informed in April about my job impact in early Q3. I was given an option to move to a core location which I declined.
BAU...death by a thousand cuts
Remote workers got 'the call' in tech about Q3 job impacts in the last two months. Script doesn't change no matter how many quarters chainsaw scharts out.
