I work for CITI now, got brutally booted from Wells about 2 years ago.
I am developer. We are hiring dozens of people who can do agentic coding. The job is the same except everyone gets to oversee hyprerproductive junior developers (in this case AI).
Coding is far from dead, it just changed. It's planning, oversight, reviews, direction, validation, etc.

Depends on your experience. If you haven’t skilled up and made yourself marketable the job market is horrible.
