Attended a management meeting today and they stated AI development in all 3 IT centers except Houston.
So I don’t think they are planning much development of staff in the America’s for IT
Immediately stop hiring in Bangalore, Manila, and Buenos Aires and figure out what we can automate today and figure out what’s actually needed tomorrow
@hv absolutely why hire all that for repetitive workflows just use AI.
This is the fallacy of ENGINE: “Send us your repeatable workflows.” The very thing for which AI is designed. We don’t have MCPs to waste billions on, so we’re going to waste those billions setting up Bengaluru only to not realize the advertised value. @d1 has it right.
Chevron will suffer for a few years in denial first before learning the same lesson that every other company has already
