OP, how do you layoff people without jobs? If they don't have a job they are already unemployed.
Meta lost their lawsuit because their apps and content were determined to be addictive. I doubt that most of the people being laid off as workaholics, quite the opposite in many cases.
You sound like the people who used to work in the buggy whip factory... those horseless carriages are ruining everything...
There are still going to be people employed but it will be the ones who are more productive with AI. If you haven't figured it out, learning is a lifelong process. Seriously, use the time in between submitting resumes to learn how to use AI to get better at whatever job you do. The people who get hired will have done this.
On with the down votes for speaking the truth...
BTW, when these cases you predict happen your lawyer will probably be someone who uses AI. AI is really good at law. Can you imagine a lawyer that knows every law, statute, policy, procedure, previous lawsuits, and precedent instantly. Now that is worth some money to have on your side.
