I am so grateful I still have a job, but rumors are this is the first of many more layoffs to come. It's so depressing at work. I have such high anxiety now and I feel so guilty for having my job.

I am so overwhelmed. More work. No additional resources. Leadership doesn’t care. This is depressing.
Do yourself a favor, get yourself as squares away as possible (pay down high interest debt if you have it, strip your living expenses down as much as possible, start or continue building an emergency fund, etc) brush up your resume and start actively looking for new opportunities outside of Humana.
This place isn't going to get better. It is going to get worse. No company cares about their associates, no matter how many times they plea "we're all family". Protect your peace.
Please take care of yourself! No job is worth this kind of he!!
@OP sending you love and hope! There are still people here who care. Take time for yourself when you can, hang on for the ride and prepare for anything the best you can.
Trust me. You are not alone! I personally have had to start depression and anxiety meds and get medical leave because of those issues. I am also in therapy. I am so STRESSED here. I have never had to take meds like that in my life but now there is no way to get through the work day. Unfortunately training hours at other jobs is what keeps me from applying because these hours work for my needs but if you have the option to go, please take care of your mental health because it only gets worse the longer you stay.
In the utilization review department it is only about numbers. They do not give a damn about you or your family.
This means you are human - reading this may give you a little insight - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10443429/. I'm sure you can find lots more information about the topic - Those remaining after a reduction in force. What you are experiencing is common. I am specifically not calling it "normal" becomes I do not want you to thing anyone or any situation would be "abnormal" - humans are all different and we would all process the same situation differently - and, that is OK!
The exec team in place do seem to be focused only on financial metrics. I think those that cared about company longevity, employee health & happiness, and customer satisfaction are long gone / things of the past. That adds to your anxiety - you know it, see it, and feel it - hence your anxiety!
The climate in a struggling company can often be extremely toxic and that is what Humana's climate is currently! Unfortunately, many remaining are suffering! Anxiety is one of many emotions many are feeling - anger, impending doom, hopelessness, change fatigue, being overwhelmed, etc. There are still very many loyal and caring folks remaining - seek them out and do your best / what you need to cope and survive! Your well-being is important to you, your family, and the customers you are trying to help!
Based on all the town hall chats and leadership, I thought it’s all rainbows and butterflies. No one would think anyone was feeling stressed over the CONSTANT changes and the never ending RIFs that are so under the radar that only by word of mouth associates know what is happening. Nearly 40 years and I have NEVER experienced this. Caring about the employees and treating them as they expect associates should treat members is a horrible lie. I hope we DON’T treat members with only the bottom line in mind. I’m sorry you are experiencing this, but you need to find a company and a role that doesn’t make you feel this way. It’s not going to get better in the foreseeable future.
I understand. Please know you’re not alone in how you feel. How you’re feeling is a normal reaction. Take care of yourself, and seek counseling if you need more help.
@OP what area?
