@kw,
Bear in mind that WARN only applies to employees working in the same facility (company premises), so if they RIF 2,000 WFH staff, that will never appear on any WARN notice.

(most of my coworkers were WFH since COVID.)

Oracle must drastically save money (~ large layoffs) due to 2 main factors:

  • Finance huge AI data centers loans
  • Combat recent SaasApocalypse phenomenon created by Anthropic, Perplexity, etc…
