@z9 you must mean 2047? That tracks better. No one loves old technology more than FIS. Of course, if it saves money, they will figure it out enough to alienate their remaining clients, grab their money, close shop or sell out then go on their merry way, leaving the hulking, burning ruins.

@cs when Franklin Templeton hired FIS to take over their Transfer Agent, part of that contract not shared with legacy FT employees was the ability to outsource their jobs to "a lower cost center" which meant India. FIS intention was to replace all of US Customer Service with an intact highly skilled group with Indian employees. FT employees were told to expect to be laid off when that transition (training of Indian new hires) was completed. FIS has always maintained that anyone can be trained to do the work, tenure, relationships with vendors, did not matter. What everyone knew turned out to be true, they could not do the work. As FT posted job openings, legacy FT employees were concerned. They were told that they would retain certain phone skills in the US. It became apparent that a complete takeback was occurring. FIS has je-ked the legacy FT employees around and so has FT. The ride has been rough and it ain't over yet. Everyone remaining at FIS servicing other clients, buckle up.

It is not h1b visa. What FIS has done is offshore to India. They have done a unique approach by actually using contracted services to hire contractors in India - to include 2-3 Indian management levels, and identify those workers as employees. It's a real sh-t show of lies. Their recent emails in the last 6 months of - all Indian employees will report to their direct managers were sent as US Laws were changing the field and will over-tax FIS as they have fired US workers for cheap and garbage workers. They have been masking it.

No more. They will still use contractors but now will employ them as direct employees instead of the hidden hiring and actual contractor position. They still save money by replacing real experience and knowledge with 2-6 people for replacement.

The end result is that it looks good on paper. Saving money, saving on benefits, saving on cost per employee. The end result will be an internal implosion due to sh-t support, knowledge and quality of work.

Maybe next round of lawsuits and fines paid to the government FIS will be bought out when it is at 30 USD a share. It is not a sinking ship. It has already sunk. Executive leadership is trash and the board should equally be sued with executives in the next round.

@ap I don’t think it is replacing. It is offshoring to another company. No H1B needed. Just train your replacement.

This is Project Dolphin? Replacing US workers with H1B visa holders? If they do it within ninety days of the petition it's a violation of Department of Labor laws.

@OP ohhh it’s coming. While the execs are all enjoying their drinks at TPC this weekend with no cares. Many of their teams will be exited in the coming weeks (tech and CX). Some will end up training their India replacements for 8 weeks, others will move to the vendor and be let go later. Stephanie continues to prove she is asleep at the wheel with no idea of how to run a company. Her tennis partner (KB) is way in over her head and only does what McKinsey tells her to do. They are cashing in and have no plans of making a company for the future. Don’t be fooled, they are building their own wealth and will be gone leaving carnage behind them. Project dolphin is about to cripple this company for years to come. It may look good on paper for a short period, but the wheels will be off soon. Then SF will be upset with her own employees when clients are pi---d at our inability to deliver. Doesn’t appear this one will get paused like the CX debacle of giving top clients a dozen CSMs. Employees getting termination packages will likely be the winners here. Get off of the SF Titanic as soon as you can.
