@1hs, that's fake news. Nobody in the US goes broke or loses their home due to onerous medical bills. Everybody keeps repeating it but nobody knows anyone who's had it happen.

This economy has been going down hill the 4 years under Biden and sh-t is getting worse with companies allowed to price gauge, offshore americans jobs and AI being allowed to come in and replace ua as well. “Everyone” does certainly not want to come to the US. Citizens of free democratic socialist countries like Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Netherlands, are very happy where they are, not beating down the door to come to the land of work til you die and no human right to healthcare. We can’t afford healthcare or a security net for our people, but we can literally blow up a billion dollars a day in foreign wars, all to distract from the drumpfstein files.

American job scene and the debt load may be different from where you live and survive but everyone wants to be a US resident for one and only reason. This country provides avenues and opportunities that no other country in this world can even dream off. That is a effing FACT and not something what Mr Trump will write on his Truth social

You can stay in your caves and feel good about mooching off others when you are not working. But Americans work, work hard and despite what the Govt cut off today still feed the world. Even the Europeans are dependent on the wealth of US.

And we do manage our debts pretty well and do have a life that is envied by your ilk.

I don't envy you in America, and I'm not saying this maliciously.

I work in a place where, with the same grade, I earn five times less than you do in the US, but I don't have a loan for college, a house, a car, credit cards, or medical bills. I have five weeks of paid vacation, and if I'm sick or something unexpected happens, I can simply not come to work without fear of being fired.

The worst part is that you could have chosen how to organize your own country, but you've created a state where even everyday shopping has become a challenge for some. It's terrifying; some of the people posting here are afraid of tomorrow instead of being free people who make decisions about their own lives. It's scary to think what would happen to America without the primacy of the dollar. The hegemon is still standing, but its legs are very weak. I don't know if it's not too late to regain strength.
