I used to have every single financial account with wf… mortgage, every credit card, multiple checking/saving, investment account. Now, just finished migrating last checking that I’ve had for 20+ years. Nothing left due to the absolute disgusting treatment of employees.
Nope. Moved to BofA and a local credit union and investments went to Ed Jones.
No. I use US Bank. I will not ever have an account open at a bank where I work. A coworker did, and bounced a check and was fired.
I get higher saving rate than the new “employee” rate at another bank.
Keep the CC, use it rarely always pay balance. The age of oldest CC is a factor in your credit score
@am did the same for $400 bonus and closed the account LOL
I still bank at the same credit union I used before I joined Wells 10 years ago. Some of that is inertia, and some of that is not wanting to deal with WF any more than I have to.
I’m not sure if anyone can relate but when I worked there for 15+ years in a high paying position, I had to sell the ‘firm’ but it was such an internal battle everyday because inside I’m thinking, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. You have to justify it at the time since it’s providing for your family but at this point it’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen - pure corruption, nepotism, and incompetence. Products and services are pi-s poor!
Fk no. I don't sh-t where I eat.
Ive worked here 20+ year and I've never had a bank account here. I had a line of credit about 10yrs ago but thats it. Ill never bank here. Credit unions are much better.
Moved it all!!
Moved all but my CC to Schwab after the scandal.
The only reason to keep the CC is the zero interest rate, if I didn't have that it'd get closed.
@am you should do that at all banks. I got about $900 last year from Chase
Open accounts (credit or deposit) for signup bonuses doing the bare minimum. Get everyone you know to know about WF’s free money.
Moved banks years ago and our mortgage. Still have team member account for the benefits but is not my main account.
Wrong strategy. Instead, open a new Autograph card, get the sign up bonus, float some debt at 0% for 1 year while getting rewards and paying min bal each month, then pay off and stop using.
The tellers can see that you have a team member account.
Previously they would make small talk asking you where you worked etc.
Lately I have noticed they do not care, no small talk
I'll keep the former employee Visa. I don't generally use credit, but if they want to give me a 6.5% $20k card, I'll keep. Always nice padding for the credit scores.
That'll show em! Maybe you can go out and yell at the clouds for your next form of irrelevant protest.
Checking account for pay deposit and bills. Everything else is moved to interest-bearing accounts elsewhere or invested, elsewhere.
