I just heard the entire asset movement department in Operations in St Louis was displaced. Any truth to that?

@h7 from asset movement in STL or ??
130 or so downsized on Tues.
IT support from RIchmond is facing the same.
The one I talked to told me he is moving to Charlotte while others letting go if not willing to move
STL is the new Des Moines, which is the new Portland. Goodbye.
@ae yep, and you have to figure that not many in Ops can afford to pick up and move to a different city.
@ae Charlotte is a s.hole. Nobody wants to relocate to that city.
I hadn’t heard that but I know more than a couple teams in WIM Ops in STL have been notified that their groups are relocating to Charlotte or Minneapolis & ending presence in STL. Timeframe by end of 2027. So essentially they are being eliminated unless they move.
That would be good, because they are worthless! Over the past 10 years, they have not been able to process a single transaction without multiple phone calls and repeated faxes (yes, faxes, even to this day with “wet” signatures!) and escalations. Complaints office is useless, also, because they just send you a letter rehashing the pain you went through with no changes or real follow up. But, I’m not bitter. Go to Fidelity!
