Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Three Year Plan

So our three year plan to regain the number one spot is:

  • using AI. Yet Service Now, Hercules, Chip and Clip, etc have been unmitigated disasters. Everyone hates them. And it makes are jobs so much harder.
  • Hiring in Hubs: the hub employees are some of the worst I’ve seen in the ten years I’ve worked here.
  • getting rid of utilizing agents office for the digital experience. But our systems are trash and our older insureds don’t want to bother with it.

I look forward to the next 3 year plan to take back the number 2 spot from Geico once they pass us up.

Big announcements coming in waves in IT. First taking care of ensuring their exec jobs are locked in and then the pillage begins.

Qlickview is a data reporting and metric tool. It does not monitor keystrokes. Holy sheet the IQ on here is about room temperature. LOL.

With Qlickview in Claims, don’t believe the hype that WFH is goofing off when every keystroke is monitored

Culture is eroding due to wfh. Sadly so many newer to workforce think a 3 hr day not productivity is the norm. I see a dozen state farmers at the gym with me during the day.

@hk I was just a junior dev, but I left a few years ago when I realized that ET lacked any sort of engineering culture. Seems like that's still the same.

Yet our new leader had plenty of time to cavort at WEF at Davos. What a role model of a Mutual leader.

IT is a mess. Now just putting up a smokescreen on change. Lots of people “exited” but cursing under their breath. ET exec leadership needs to be purged. Lots of yes people afraid for their jobs. Bring back the systems days where we could focus on delivery and not have to deal with this idiocy. Live five minutes form corporate and as soon as I am even required to set a foot in building. I am outta here.
