Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Wow

Badge swipes, the president of SMS going desk to desk to make sure we are here, constant questions about where we are.

So glad I've given 10 years of my life to a company who thinks we deserve to be treated this way.

@25b Where do I sign up to get that sweet demotion to VP with thousands times less people?

This is all coming down from the top. Mehtaverse is just following orders to get his payouts. I heard EZ E was told five times to ki-l remote work, hence the demotion. As bad as Charlie Brown was, things didn’t get crazy until Chrissy boy took over.

Society Menace (SM), is going to destroy SMS. I wonder what his crusades against hybrid and remote is going to cost the company. I wonder how much legal’s budget is going to be this year, I bet they use all of it.

@e2 We have professional rats in Clifton. If they rat on enough people, the get promoted to "manufacturing engineers".

@ez I wish the government would ask me, I could tell them a thing or two about all the shenanigans I’ve seen over the years.

Pentagon needs more time to finalize defense firms on naughty list after initial review. https://breakingdefense.com/2026/02/pentagon-needs-more-time-to-finalize-defense-firms-on-naughty-list-after-initial-review/

Could Kube be put on the naughty list? Is he into that sort of thing?

@df even if you talk and tell you’ll still get laid off because even management doesn’t like snitches so “see you later”

@e6 I just put my phone and pager on silent, lock my office door and take a nap.
If I’m asking why my office door is locked. I respond that I keep hardware in there then and I’m afraid it might go missing.
My boss R.R. in Palm Bay never seems to notice or care.
I’m just down the hall from where they make promotional videos and there’s a sign outside the studio, stating (quiet video in progress). I was thinking of making one for my office (quiet nocturnal activities in progress).

I always dip out of all hands meetings at Clifton by leaving when everybody else does but, instead of going to the meeting, I slip on down to the parking garage and take a seat in my car and listen to tunes while the meeting is going on. Sometimes I can goof off down there for an hour or longer depending on how long the meeting takes. When the meeting is over, a friend will text me, and I return back to work with everyone else. The reason I never got caught or worried about getting caught was because I wasn't the only one in that garage. I looked over and two cars to my right was my supervisor! Doing the same thing. The meetings are all garbage anyway. And so is the leadership of this company.

@df that is something I did find out about L3H when I worked there. There were a ton of squealers, you had to constantly watch your back and do not tell anybody anything.
I see you’re just another one of them.

@df don’t forget to check the parking lot from 1 to 3 PM for napping people, I bet at least one percent of the employees are there

@bw Roonie's? Just wanted to get the spelling right. Building 17 right? OK... Badge reader at that door coming soon. I'm gonna get major brownie points for this info. And probably NOT getting laid off now.
THANKS!!

@bw I do similar, but when the weather is nice, I take a two hour nap in my car in the parking lot

In Palm Bay I just leave a set of old car keys on my desk and a half of cup of coffee, walk out of building 17 entrance, where you don’t have to use your badge to badge in or out because there’s a receptionist and go across the street and drink at the bar Rooney‘s. They can page me if they need me.

When asked questions, you need to use the L3H standard replies:
1) “living the dream”, when I ask about how it’s going
2) “if they were up your butt, you know where they were”, when asked where someone’s is at.

Wild times. It seems like they could just have management check on that instead of sending the CEO. Unless they don't trust the management?

At my first job 20+ years ago (I'm old ok), it a had just recently spun off from the parent company, done the whole IPO right in the middle of the dotcom bo-m and bust. I remember just sitting in my cube as the department manager who had just laid off my boss, was going around to trying to find the cube for a coworker of mine and not knowing where to go. He found them after pacing all around. That didn't save the department manager's job, he was laid off at the end of the week. Busting his butt firing people only to get canned himself. Shaking my head.

Things get weird, don't be loyal, do be prepared and professional. You will be ok. Don't let the ba----ds get you down.

Bet it's a tactic to get us to leave vs being laid off
