Well, yeah, but it's called work for a reason.
The job market really is brutal right now. It's like companies want to appear like they are actively hiring when they really aren't. I have applied to so many jobs that I am fully qualified for and never even get a response other than automated rejection days to weeks later.
It feels worse than 2008 even. At least you got some interviews, even if the chance of getting an offer were remote.
