Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

If someone is removed from the address book (e-mail), they are gone for good- right?

We had a guy all of a sudden “leave” our group. We all think he was either fired or laid off but our boss says he will be out “X amount of weeks.” No one believe him. I have been with the bank over 20 years and never heard of someone removed from the system and then put back in when they come back—?! Comments?

Please. They keep former vvv employees on the books as SAAs for YEARS (i have witnesses who will have to testifyto this fact). Thank Joanne Cash & Ferghal for such wonderful oversight and arduous hours spent on useless embedded control reports. Massive employee/client f
raud coverups in the name of no "bad publicity". FACT.

If the email address is VVV , the person is out of this insane asylum for good.
If the person, cannot be found in the org chart, teams or people search tool, they may well still be an employee but simply inactive due to extended leave.
Here’s hoping everyone gets VVV’d with full severance!

Why your boss lie? Also you can ask the person.

Does the name show with “vvv..”in emails? If so gone for good. Also, if not showing up in Teams no longer around.
