Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Ergonomics went out the window … RIP

Manila, Argentina, engine don’t have RTO: they are still hybrid. Why?
What’s the point in the US to have a free for all “find a place” seating?
New spaces are GREAT if you do not care about any ergonomics whatsoever.
When are 1500 office workers moving to 1400 so they can spend $100k+ building floors with glass and non adjustable chairs?

When are the packages coming again?
Makes me so sad - you?

What no work pace breaks? I hated that and and the nonsence ergo desk setup inspections when I worked for Chevron. Talk about processes hindering work.

Safety and ergo was once huge in this company. They couldn’t care less now. They should care at least to minimize exposure to rsi injuries and lawsuits

The reason Manila, Argentina and Engine still have hybrid is because they want to retain them. Houston employees are being watched carefully to see who is being compliant. Those not compliant will get negative marks on PMP and possibly a PIP. 2026 is the FAAFO year. They are counting on employees leaving. Packing us in noisy work spaces 4 days a week is designed to make us want to leave. As people leave they will not backfill in Houston. They will most likely move most jobs in the next 5 years. Time to start looking.
