Lately it feels like we’re drowning in projects while only a handful of full-time employees are expected to carry all of it, and somehow the workload just keeps growing. We’re constantly being assigned new tasks without any additional support, yet leadership still questions missed deadlines and wonders what we’re doing with our time. It’s frustrating and exhausting, and I’m honestly wondering if anyone else is dealing with this same imbalance between expectations and actual resources.

EC does seek higher attrition and have even mentioned this metric as a means to cut benefits, reduce merit, and increase work yet decrease budget.
Attrition is low because MDs and added layers of Executives do not manage to outcomes or performance. There is rarely a manage out. How the workforce responds is to not work as hard, so execs are hindering productivity overall…. Let’s all wait for a layoff, I’m not quitting… mentality.
There’s really no incentives in place for employees. And Execs that waste expense on failed projects should be fired…. Once this happens, the performance will improve. Has to start at the top.
There are a handful of people who work hard and carry the load for the rest who spend the day showing up late, socializing, going on walks and leaving early to “pick up the kids”. It’s a joke. There is absolutely no benefit to working hard.
lol “rains”
Who are the people voting down these posts? Seriously who thinks that everything is just fu--ing peaches and cream at Schwab? This place is a he-l hole. It’s horrible. They pay barely enough money to get by if your Frontline worker and they treat you like your cr-p and people are like oh let’s not talk about this… it’s sad that I work with these type of people my guess is that their boomers and that they’ll be retiring soon hopefully they just don’t wanna give up the rains and they’ve run this country into the ground so whatever
It's all part of the strategy to get people to quit. Attrition at all costs
Same here we’re buried in work, short on full-time staff, and somehow expected to deliver like we’ve got a full crew. They’ve hired a bunch of contractors on our side too, but it honestly hasn’t helped at all because they still rely on the same few of us to answer questions, unblock them, and handle the critical pieces. It just ends up creating more work, not less. You’re definitely not the only one feeling this.
