The New Centralized UM leadership is out of touch with the employees ! It is chaos, disastrous and not doable. Huge stress and unbearable!!!

I am grateful for this forum, and to know that I am not the only one feeling this way about UM centralization. One big, hot mess
Is it true that eventually IRF/LTACH preauth work will be moved to OneHome like SNF will be next year?
Three ring circus without a ring leader. Their body actions during Zoom meetings to announce the great, new centralization process should have been the first clue. Acting as if they are thinking to themselves "Why am I having to sit through this", flipping your hair off your shoulder, smirks for fake smiles, unable or unwilling to answer questions. No Academy Award for any of those actors. Best part is telling folks in UM on Friday afternoon your job is safe, have a good weekend, just to have ERP and positions eliminated within the next 2 weeks. For teams, would be like a lift and shift in centralization. More like lift and shafted!
Hearing a lot of complaints. From both providers and members and we aren’t even a month in yet.
@OP I can say for sure, that I have seen more denials lately compared to what had been normal in the last several years. Many members are frustrated because of it, as am I and clearly your dept. I feel for all of you in UM...nothing moves forward for people requiring auths without you so I know this is a BIG deal and I hope Humana sees that. Hopefully things improve soon.
@cc I will answer your questions if first you answer mine.
Did the architects of the centralized UM consult with those who actually perform the work tasks? Are you one of the architects? Do you know how to do their job?
Did the process change that much? Maybe depended on which region you were with. What is the big change bothering people? Assignments? p2p?
Oh boy, this change has been disastrous and everyone’s morale is depleted at this point. Although, no changes on the fort front and we are rocking the new process is what we are told. Disheartening.
@a2 You’re 100% correct. Look at your leadership tree. Who are the directors, VPs and SVPs? Even the directors do your job because they’ve never done the job. Yes, several have been at Humana for a long time, but have they ever even worked a month reviewing for medical necessity? Nope!
Agreed. Total circus.
@O whoever is making
These decisions has never done our jobs!!
Try doing what you asking us to Do!
