Need some help. I was part of the RIF earlier this month. Given WARN, my last day is Nov 3. However, I got the equipment return box this week. Am I supposed to return the equipment now (within 5 days) or wait until Nov 3rd ? I have no use for the laptop but since I am still on the payroll (albeit garden leave) until Nov3 , I wasn’t sure if I should return things now.

Anyone in October 2025 layoffs still waiting for their equipment return box? My end date was 10/15, and completed documents 10/17. It’s the 26th and no equipment return box (correct address was confirmed). Starting to get frustrated…
I received my box; it had a link to a document which was very generic; there was no personalized equipment list of what they thought I might have and what they expected to return. It did say to return the badge, yubi keys (and other rsu keys for instance), and corporate credit card. I've packed it up and took pictures of the inside with serial numbers, etc. It's one less thing to worry about.
Only return what they ask you to return. It's all listed in the invoice or packing slips. Keep the rest Larry has no use for e-waste.

you are required to return anything Oracle owned that is in the EMP or MyDesktop systems. This usually means laptops and (gasp) desktops if you still use one. every other peripheral (monitors, keyboards, mice, cameras) and the like that dont appear in any system dont need to go back, think of them as parting gifts ;-)
@cv the box sent is for the laptop alone. I assume this means there is no expectation to send monitors,etc
Returning the laptop is a must, but do we have to return the monitors too?
The sooner you return it the better to get your severance, it's only a paperweight now.

Just return it and have one less thing to worry about.
