Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

What is happening with Pershing?

I've noticed this year in particular a highly unfavorable balance of BD deconversions/terminations, relative to the amount of firms onboarded. I know Pershing is only one slice of the BNY pie. Between the exodus of clients under our clearing business and the seemingly unmitigated failure that the money pit known as Wove Investor appears to be so far, I can't say these are good signs, in spite of the current share price of $109.53 (9/26/25).

It would really help the xenophobes make their arguments about Indians if they were able to write in English with correct spelling and grammar. They’d still be xenophobes, and they’d still be wrong, but at least they wouldn’t be making fools of themselves.

People are quitting in droves without even caring to look for a better paying job. That should be a clue.

@h5 why blame it on Indians, there were great folks across nationality when Pershing thrived, its easier to name call without assigning responsibility..what happened to the incompetent AS or ML or any of the new leadership at Pershing? Its a great business and cash cow, shame it’s being decimated..all the old guards like RN,AQ,SS and lot more have moved on or retired…

At what point, will they realize that WOVE is a disaster from the beginning. They are utter failure after now the FIFTH year of its existence. They hired highly compensated, incompetent Indians (can say that very bluntly) and you-do-not-mention-their-nationality-without-provoking-Trump-ire teams but they have delivered nothing. All their claims have been white lies.

Now the poison has spread across the organizations in various platforms. A functioning environment was denied funds to evolve and now is being decimated.

But WOVE still gets all the publicity - look at all the emails from AS.

Remember Dreyfus Mutual Funds? That's right, if you're young enough you probably don't! That's what's going to happen to Pershing - complements of BNY EC incompetence!

With how bad things are and the dereliction of duty of the C suite I think clients will sue BNY. The strategy of stripping the company to increase the stock price is more than apparent. Surprised Wall st has not caught on.

Egoistic crass leadership with the only objective to exhibit showbiz compounded by letting good people walk away. Clients are being scammed out of their pockets and the on the ground workers are fighting with each other in a pressure cooker environment to stay afloat.

Pershing is a hot mess and getting worse by the day. No shortage of poor leadership.

Pershing has become a hub of no good BNY executives all showing up one at a time and trying to prove they know how run this. latest is the Agile head dermis special trying to run the show and burying the whole product to 10 feet down the ground. Apathetic leadership bad investments in wove and letting people who knew how to manage clients and the technology leave. Client service is non existent and no one knows how to manage the technology team.
