Topics regarding layoffs at T-Mobile

We are just numbers on a spreadsheet

That is the bitter truth. All our complains are in vain, we are only numbers on a spreadsheet to them. Here it is futile to expect that someone will be valued for their work. Instead, talented and capable people go to better companies. Not only are... — read more

The truth

I’ve been with T-MOBILE for about 7 years and recently my position was eliminated with severance. Never did I imagine I’d be in this situation but the truth is I know it is 100% for the best. I have worked at other companies and with that... — read more

Honetown experts ending

Tmobile is endings its absolute disaster hometown expert program, more people will lose their jobs because of top leadership incompetence

So far, ignoring my manager has been unthinkable

This is something that managers do not like to hear: the more they force their micromanagement, the greater the resistance to it. I’ve tried to always do everything the way the manager wants me to, but that’s impossible because nothing is ever good... — read more

Save your health

I watched a team of 45 people dwindle to 10 people in the last year. The common theme? Mental illness caused by the job.

Over 40% of my team had FMLA and called in a few times a week, most eventually quitting, the theme around everyone's claim is that the job was causing them severe depression, anxiety and other types of mental illness. I think T-Mobile has a LONG way... — read more

Vax Terminations are really layoff

I’ve been hearing lots of rumors. Anyone else? Supposedly a massive shakeup on the executive team coming next week which will have significant impacts across the company.

What will the packages be like?

Along with the rumor about the big changes coming, I have also heard the rumor that the severance pay for wireline teams will be miserable. Take this with a grain of salt, it's just a rumor, but I wonder how much truth there is in that?

Our Voice

Am I crazy or did they push the employee surveys back AGAIN another month? I could have sworn they were coming out this week.

Wireline shutdown

Rumor has it that T-Mobile is getting out of the Wireline business. Wireline will be shut down and existing customers will be forced to look for new Wireline service after contracts are over. Possibly the network will be used as a wholesale play, but... — read more

How much money will they "save" that way?

Given that I also see mandates as a way for this company to get rid of employees and at the same time avoid severance costs, I wonder how much money will be "saved" in this way, i.e. stay available to those at the top. I'm starting to despise this... — read more

Walking on eggshells

Someone mentioned that working here feels like walking on eggshells. I pretty much agree with that description. If I had known that I would have to be so extremely cautious about everything here, I would've never come to this company. In other... — read more

The more people leave, better for the rest of us

Why are so many of you bothered by high attrition? This works well for us. The more people quit, the less need there is for more layoffs. I'm willing to pick up part of their work if that means we'll get job security back. Would you rather be kicked... — read more

They always get rid of the wrong people

Isn't it unbelievable how this company doesn't recognize who are the people that should be kept, and who are those that should be gotten rid of? Here it seems the opposite always happens. Dead weight remains, and people who are diligent, talented... — read more

Why aren't retail employees required to be vaccinated?

The inventor of the mRNA technology used in the main two vaccines doesn't believe in vaccine mandates. This sounds like an easy way to cut headcount while also trying to look "woke." Why aren't workers in retail locations also required to get... — read more

As you know 900+ people are about to be laid off.

As people know, anyone not vaccinated is getting fired, the worst part is that T-Mobile won't be paying severance or paying unemployment as they want to take advantage of vaccine politics. Once you're gone we all know where your job is going... Yup... — read more

What's stopping you from leaving?
