I was called in to our main office for a "skip level meeting" on 8/30 only to find out it was me meeting with management to be laid off. Our market just hired 8 new field techs less than a year ago, half with little to no experience plus a contractor making double my hourly rate yet I was the one canned. I asked how I was singled out & they wouldn't even give me an answer. They let go 200 employees from operations today in the north east alone meanwhile Mike Sievert is the highest paid CEO in U.S. communications making $10M more than 2nd place. Easy to see who the company actually values.

Every clown with the cr-p response have h1b and are licking their masters boots to stay in the country. Sorry to hear you getting let go....chin up..there are better places out there for good workers
Be wary of some responses in here. I'm the OP and someone claiming to respond on my behalf is not me. I was given no reason for the lay off other than what was said publicly. Seems some are trying to stir the pot.
To the person claiming I'm a "low performer" I've had "exceeded expectations" on every annual review to date. Many people kept on were have received "below expectations". There's a theory amongst myself and old coworkers as to why I was singled out which I can't go into due to my exiting package.
No offense, but you must be a low performer. Everyone except you is probably aware of that.
Do you want a cookie? TMO had to let you go, they spent $50k on 12 test units they don't use.
You should have known, they tried go smoosh you last week with a lunch with the director.
